Yes! This is acceptable. Indian Batsmen always been struggling against Bouncer ball even India have been producing many good batsmen continuously like Gavaskar, Dravid, Laxman, Sachin, Viraht, Dhoni, Raina, Yuvi, Rohit... etc.
There are lot of reasons behind this strategy. Even
if the players are consistent or IN-FORM, If you look out closley they always been struggling aginst bouncer ball. If we compare Indian batsmen with other soil players. for example WI, SA or AUS. There wouldn't be any issues on Bouncer balls.
The 5 main Reasons...
- Sub-Continent
India is a Sub-Continent Soil which allows spin bowling effectively more than fast bowling. So, Indian Cricket Team always been practicing with Spin bowling track. Not in Fast bowling Track. If we look out other Countries which is just near to India like Srilanka, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Afghanistan.. Their Pitch Condition also same as India.
2.Batting Track
India Track is a batting track. From the early days onwards Indian soil (Pitch) has been made up for supporting batting track TO BRING AUDIENCE TO CRICKET WORLD!.
But nowadays strategies are completely changed. Every Kidds love Cricket.
3.Less Grass in Track
If we watch out Indian wicket field closely we can easy there wouldn't be any Grass. Once upon a Time even Australia Cricket Team Carried Indian soil to their nation for practicing. This is so funny.
4.Quick Out-Field
If the ground is in Dry condition. Ground should be a quit out field. In India, People can expect Rain in Rainy season only. they cant expect rains in irrelevent day. whereas other countries like England there would have been mist always. Clouds always shows its pic as black. So In their ground there would be always wet.
5.IPL
IPL is the reason Since When T20 evolves in India. BCCI introduced IPL. That was the great change in Cricket. Even a small players has the opportunity to play with International players. In T20 format people always expecting fours and sixes. So that, pitch always contructing for batsman concern. Not for Bowlers Concers (Fast). Since the pitch made up of Slow, Spin bowling evolves highly.
6.SACHIN (A quite different thought)
It is a quit different thought for me. Not to critics Master blaster Sachin Tendulkar. why i am saying that Sachin is the factor for that is for example, If i play cricket in my street, My father/ brother/ uncle / anybody would tell that "play like sachin, you have to become like sachin"
I never ever hear from anybody that take wicket like ambroos, shane warne, Anil kumble.
Every one wants me to hit sixes of fours like Sachin. So people likes to hit sixes and fours than taking wickets. Thats the factor.
