Indian limited over cricket skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni said that He is still not convinced with DRS (Decision Review System) System in the presentation park after 1st ODI with AUS at Perth.
He added, "It could have but at the same time, we need to push the umpires to take the right decision. you have to see how many 50-50 decisions don't go in our favour. And it always happens that you have to take it but I am still not convinced about DRS".
Dhoni thinks about DRS in its present days...
"Ideally, DRS should be a decision making system. But there are quite a few deviations and even the makers agree with that. And in cricket, every inch matters- not even inches, it's millimetres that matter. DRS shouldn't be an umpires' decision justification system."
"It should be giving the right decision. Like in tennis, you don't say if the umpire has given it out, half the ball needs to pitch on the line, or if he has given it not out, the scenario is different. It has to be plain and simple", He thought.
Mahindra singh Dhoni thinks, in cricket every inches the matters to make the decision. may be it optable to Tennis. But In cricket we cant find the mistakes using DRS accurately.
Actually DRS System finds using the even inches (0.2,0.4...)
Skipper thinks even inches not sufficient to find the correct decision. Every inches that matters.
Thats why indian limited over skipper yet not convinced with DRS.
Note: *** If the both teams agree with DRS method, They can use DRS method in their matches. AUS vs IND India not agreed with DRS whereas AUS agree with DRS. So that DRS hadn't used while India Playing
